Sally Pettibon earned a BFA in photography from the California College of Art and an MFA in photography from the University of South Florida. An award-winning artist, she has participated in over thirty national and international exhibitions. Her work belongs to several museum and private collections. She has been a full-time faculty member of the Photography and Imaging department at the Ringling College of Art and Design since 2003. She has taught at the Pont Aven School of Contemporary Art, in France, and she is a former staff photographer for the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. In addition to teaching and working as an artist, she is a freelance editorial photographer in New York and Florida.
